“if you rest, you rust.”

December 6, 2010

my favorite thing about going home is to explore the beauty of the nothingness that is everywhere. living in a city i feel almost trapped esp with my creativity. georgia is where i started shooting and im very inspired by almost everything when i go back. i get in my car, listen to music, and drive everywhere looking for abandoned homes or trash or empty spaces or beautiful clouds/trees or anything really. last time i was home i just shot dead animals because i felt like roadkill. this time it felt good just shooting everything. almost as if i was letting go of this place. it was an emotional, even spiritual day driving around. it doesnt come through as much in the images as i had hoped, but i felt a real sadness and nostalgic connection to these things. here are some of my favorite shots from the trip.
