i took these photographs in georgia when i was home in november. i was looking for old cars everywhere when i stumbled upon this junkyard in the middle of the wood. i was like a kid in a candy store. i was running around this goldmine snapping away at all these decaying metal carcasses. when i came back to sf i decided the metal of the cars would look really great as tintypes. i exposed them onto 4 different coated metal plates and then sewed them together with copper wire. its like metal car quilts. so here are my tintypes of my georgia cars. mind u the photographs of the photographs are not that great but u get the idea.
